TAREI’s Health Insurance Program |
|
TAREI is pleased to introduce our group benefits package providing guaranteed-issue, affordable Medical plans which are exclusively designed and priced specifically for TAREI group members through CPR. Simply put, TAREI provides coverage for your everyday healthcare needs – helping to provide a safety net for people who do not have the luxury of being covered by another cost-effective comprehensive health insurance plan. Benefits and Highlights*: · It’s guaranteed-acceptance** – No medical exams required. · It’s low cost for rich benefits (Low or Zero Copays for Doctor Visits, Wellness Visits, and Prescriptions). · Three plan types are available ($5,000 Deductible, $2,000 Deductible, and $750 Deductible) · You have freedom to choose any provider, with the option of a PPO network, for added savings, in certain states. · The plans provide assignable benefits – the medical provider bills the insurance directly. · Coverage is available first of the month following 30 days of employment and/or membership. · ASO contract provides a 12 month rate guarantee. · Group coverage is secondary to Medicare with Medicare as the primary for eligible members. · Benefits include: doctor office visits, wellness visits, emergency room benefits, surgery benefits, prescription benefits and more! * Policies each contain standard exclusions and limitations which are important for you to read and understand. Who Can Benefit? · Cannot afford – or are struggling to afford – individual major medical (comprehensive) health insurance. · Are sole proprietors that work a minimum of 30 hours per week in their business and it is the primary source of their income. · Have tried to get individual health insurance and have been turned down. · Have a pre-existing condition that makes traditional individual insurance coverage expensive or difficult to obtain. · Have COBRA benefits ending from a prior company. · Have major medical insurance with very high deductibles or unreasonable premium increases, and who could use extra consideration in plan designs to assist with everyday healthcare needs and costs. Note: There is a 12-month pre-existing condition clause for members not able to provide proof of coverage for the 12 months prior to the effective date. Major Medical vs. Limited Medical It is important to understand the difference between Major Medical (comprehensive coverage) and Limited Medical insurance. Major Medical provides catastrophic coverage and high limits of coverage (typically $1 million or more). Limited Medical provides the guarantee of affordable insurance but limits its coverage to everyday illnesses and accidents, and the maximum benefits paid in each medical situation are capped. TAREI is now able to offer a group Major Medical plan where many associations are offering Limited Medical plans. For more information on this issue, please click here. |
